If you would like to purchase the App now, please do so via this link iTunes . It is currently priced at $1.99 in the US iTunes Store.
KidsMathG5 is the third app from the series that I have tested. Each one has similarities and each one is challenging for the age group it is intended for. This particular app is aimed at Grade-5 , which is roughly ages 10 and upwards. If I am to be entirely honest I have to say I found it extremely challenging and my own son who is above average for his age at math found it quite difficult.
The app allows for the user to do a practice session before undertaking the test option. G5 is similar to G4 in that the Test option, allows you to select one of 4 different time settings, namely 1 minute, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 45 minutes. It is a great way of assessing your child's progress and monitoring their attention span. It would be advisable for the user to start with the 1 minute test and work their way up gradually to the 45 minute one. The 45 minute option in my opinion is best suited to slightly older children or ones who have been using the app for a period of time.
KidsMathG5 helps your child to learn algebra and geometry in a fun way , and also poses some logical thinking questions for them to decipher .In line with the other apps from Sprima Inc that I have tested, Kids MathG5 allows the user to skip over a question if they find it too complex . Constant reinforcement is given with each correct answer and this in itself is a selling point for the App. For children with special needs who seek out feedback this App would suit their needs .
If you enjoyed G4 then G5 is a natural progression for you child. It encourages math learning in a fun way . The user becomes so engrossed in the questions and problems posed to them, that they almost forget they are learning whilst having fun. It is a nice app for any maths fan and at a price tag of $1.99 it isn't out of people's reach.
