KidsScience By Sprima Inc. - Review & Giveaway

Kids Science is an iPhone app that is perfect for testing the scientific knowledge of both the children and adults in the house.  The youngest user right up to the eldest will find themselves challenged by the multitude of questions presented. It requires iOS 5.0 or later to run , and is available in 17 languages English , Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish and Swedish.

If you would like to purchase the app now please do so by clicking on this link iTunes . It is currently priced at $0.99.

When I first sat down to test this app I thought to myself, "I should have no problem working through the questions". Was I wrong. Little did I know that my own knowledge would be put through a rigorous testing. Kids Science is very user friendly and simple to navigate. It teaches science in a fun filled way .

Kids Science has two different difficulty levels to choose from, namely High School Science or Elementary Science. It looks at Natural Science, Social Science, elements of Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as other artifacts.  It provides comprehensive testing of what your child will have learned in school.

One of the elements of this app that my 10 year old son loved was the subtle humour built into some questions. For example this question here asking 'Who was the first man to hit a golf ball on the moon ?". One of the answer options was Buzz Lightyear. It may seem like a small thing to some users, but to children and especially children with Special Needs the addition of a word that they can associate with and that will make them laugh will only lead to enhancing their enjoyment of learning science.

This app challenges the user to think outside of the box. It provides feedback at the end of each question and tracks the number of correctly answered questions as well. My kids enjoyed the feedback provided after each question. By the end of the testing the whole family had joined in and we were scrambling to see who would answer the questions first.  If you get an answer wrong it will highlight the correct answer for you.

Overall I believe this Science app is a great learning tool for adults and children alike. It is ideal for children with special needs  who like  multiple choice questions and who require reinforcement feedback from activities completed. It is very reasonably priced at $0.99 and  definitely great value. I would recommend this app to anyone who has an interest in Science or who simply enjoys a bit of good old fashioned Questions and Answers fun.
